Handwoven by artisans in Guatemala, using threads of recycled plastic, our medium size ‘cesta’ totes come in a variety of colors and designs. And they are very durable and easy to clean and 100% vegan.

About Designer

Co-founders, friends, and neighbors Katie Leary Sebastian and Becky Smith have spent over 30 years traveling to Guatemala, where they fell in love with the landscape, Mayan culture, and textiles handcrafted by local artisans. In 2017, they partnered with women's cooperatives that train artisans in weaving as a path to financial independence — and ixöq was born. Their signature cestas (basket in Spanish) are handwoven market bags made from recycled plastic cord, brought stateside to share a little of what they love.
